Registering for February 2012 Combatives courseThe Academy of Combat Application Techniques is currently pre registering for the February Military Combatives class. We currently have 10 training slots for the course starting in February. Our Combatives Course is the only one of its kind in the DFW area taught by actual military combatives instructors. Our program is as realistic and practical as this type of training gets. We are the only ones in the area certified as Shocknife safety monitors and the only combatives center in the area to use Shocknife. Our instructors are prior US Army Special Forces and Combat Veterans. Portions of our program is currently taught to members of various law enforcement agencies, Special Operations units and US government Dignitary Protection Specialists.

Our combatives program concentrates on counter edged weapon, edged weapon, impact weapon, counter impact weapon, weapon disarms, ground defense, unarmed and multiple attackers. Our program is scientifically sound and combat proven. Our trainees are trained to take their attacker to the pointof mechanical failure. All trainees must agree to a Criminal Background check and must pass their initial written exam on Texas Penal Code, Use of Force, Deadly Force and Injury Mitigation.

Slots are limited and time is running out. Applicants must register immediately in order to get their back ground checks completed by the first week of February. We currently have trainees ages 18 to 65, but individuals ages 16 and up are allowed with parental consent, I.D. verification and clean criminal check. All applicants are subject to be dropped based on instructor assessment for suitability of training.
